Santa Luz being a prestigious community of Rancho Santa Fe embodies all of the amazing aspects of San Diego. Kathy and David’s home was built in the late 90’s with finishes of slate and brown cabinets everywhere. They wanted a much more open and bright feel, a facelift to their family’s environment. The refresh was just the right amount of updated soft contemporary, mixed with casual elegance. Raising doorways, getting rid of heavy tuscan beams and arches did the trick. Plus the use of plank flooring throughout gave the home a simpler more open feel. Kathy wanted a spa like effect with whites and grays. A perfect segway for the couples love of art and music!
